Title says lead. Most days I'm still in the query plan.

I'm Aayush Goel, a backend engineer based in India. I'm the engineering lead at Mulltiply.AI, a B2B commerce platform where businesses sell to their retailers over WhatsApp. I spend most of my time on the parts of that platform that talk to systems it doesn't control: Tally and BUSY on a shop-floor PC, Meta's APIs, and a Postgres planner with its own ideas.

I started shipping software commercially in high school. From 2020 to 2022 I ran SoloNodes.net, a game and web server hosting business. I wrote the client dashboard in Node.js with points-based billing and automated provisioning, grew a Discord community past 10,000 members, coordinated freelancers, and then sold it.

I studied BCA (Hons.) in Data Security at SICSR, Symbiosis, in Pune, graduating in 2025 with a CGPA of 8.61, and won the institute's internal hackathon in December 2024. I joined Mulltiply.AI as a full stack engineer in January 2025 and became engineering lead in February 2026.

How I work

I'm a lead who still writes code. Day to day that means architecture decisions and code reviews for a team of three, a full intern hiring cycle this year, and then back to the branch. I like boring, observable systems: queues over cron, idempotency keys over hope, and logs that say why. An integration isn't finished until it survives the partner system behaving badly, and I write the reason into the code so the next engineer doesn't have to find it again.

The work, in more detail

A way into the PC in the back of the shop, two ERPs that answer 200 when they fail, Postgres picking the slow plan and many stores behind one WhatsApp number. I'm also primary author of our ONDC buyer app on the Beckn protocol, and the primary maintainer of the core API and the order engine behind it. I've shipped LLM work too, mostly the backend half of it: a five-agent system that takes a marketing brief to a paused Meta ad behind three human approval gates, with every model call logged for cost.

Early work

Before Mulltiply.AI I built 20+ custom Discord bots for clients on Fiverr, and open-sourced two that people still run: Tickety, a support-ticket bot (80+ stars), and BrokenDisc, a music bot (70+ stars).
