Engineering Lead
Feb 2026 — Present- Leading a team of 3 engineers (frontend, backend, AI) — technical direction, architecture decisions, code reviews. Ran a full intern hiring cycle (4 interns) including group discussions and technical interviews.
- Own backend feature development across 8+ Node.js microservices on Kubernetes, including multi-store WhatsApp tenancy — one business number serving a group of stores via a 4×4 visibility/registration matrix, with illegal combinations rejected server-side and every failure path degrading to the pre-feature behaviour.
- Rebuilt the Instagram chatbot onboarding platform — merchants fill a structured form that generates a custom AI system prompt, preview the bot live in-browser, then connect their account and go live automatically via Instagram Graph API with zero manual intervention.
- Eliminated manual cross-system accounting with a bidirectional Tally ERP sync — two-way master/transaction sync, automated invoice delivery via WhatsApp, idempotency guards across all operations.
- Cut WhatsApp chatbot response latency from ~10s to ~1–2s —
cached the subscription row to replace 12+ serial reads with one lookup,
collapsed 6 more into a single
Promise.all, and moved a ~500ms language-detection LLM call off the critical path. - Designed the AI chatbot decisioning architecture — intent classification, cart extraction, price negotiation, multilingual handling — and directed implementation in LangGraph/Python on the OpenAI API.
- Traced a 54% p90 regression in catalogue search to a partial Postgres index whose predicates a refactored join no longer applied, so the planner ignored it entirely — 281ms → 29ms, proven with an A/B p90/p95 benchmark that also surfaced 12 pre-existing P0 route failures.
- Sole author of a Tally ERP add-on written in TDL — ~6,450 lines across 19 modules over 22 releases, plus a Tauri desktop agent that reaches an on-premise ERP behind NAT via a local reverse proxy and an outbound-only tunnel. One install serves two ERPs.
- Reverse-engineered and integrated a second Indian ERP (BUSY) end to end — one GET endpoint driven by numeric service codes in headers, ADO rowsets, and HTTP 200 returned on every outcome including failure.
- Shipped a 5-agent LLM marketing automation system solo — specialised CMO, Content, Graphic Designer, FB Handler, and Analyst agents take a campaign brief to a live Meta ad with DALL·E 3 creative generation and human approval gates, with full LLM call audit logging (tokens, latency, cost).

Jan 2025 — Feb 2026- Built and owned the core WhatsApp B2B commerce flows (Meta Cloud API) — onboarding, ordering, catalog browsing, and engagement — alongside n8n orchestration pipelines automating 10+ operational processes including order confirmations, cashback updates, and retry logic.
- Developed an AI chat decisioning pipeline handling 18+ intents (ordering, negotiation, catalog queries, support) with multilingual support across English, Hindi, and Hinglish — OpenAI API with a LangChain-based intent routing layer.
- Built internal operations dashboards with Next.js and embedded Apache Superset for real-time analytics on order volumes, automation health, and retailer activity — while managing one direct report.
